Named after the Octans constellation, and the Luxembourg bar where the idea first took shape among friends, Octanbro grew into a textile partner for brands, businesses and creators who refuse to compromise on what they put their name on.
For more than three years, I travelled across continents to audit factories before Octanbro existed as a company. Twenty manufacturers visited on-site, in Europe, Asia and Africa. Not over Zoom, not by email. I tested, washed and compared dozens of samples, ranked them, sent them back, then ordered another round.
The goal was not to find a manufacturer. It was to find the few worth trusting with someone else's brand, and to learn the difference the hard way.
Octanbro was built to close that gap, and to give ambitious creators and serious businesses what I wish I had on day one: a tested network, a single point of contact, and a clear answer to the question "who actually delivers?"
"Those three years of mistakes, wasted budgets and failed samples gave me something no shortcut could buy: a network that actually works."
— Kevin Tucci, Founder of Octanbro
It was our place. The corner where Tuesday became Wednesday without anyone noticing. Where we would meet, drink badly and talk about everything and nothing: half-imagined projects, half-believed futures, the lives we wanted but had not started yet.
One evening, between two rounds, I looked up at the ceiling. The name had been written there for as long as I had come to the bar, and I had never asked what it meant. So that night, I looked it up.
Octans turned out to be a constellation in the southern sky. Small, easy to overlook, but the one that guided explorers for centuries when they had nothing else to navigate by. A discreet star. A reliable one. Something clicked. Not loud. Just enough.
If a small star could quietly guide ships across oceans for centuries, maybe a textile partner could quietly guide brands through the chaos of production for years. That was the seed.
Wanting to build a textile project sounds simple. Building one is not. I found out the way most first-time founders do: the expensive way.
The suppliers who promised the world and went silent the week before production. The prototypes that came back with the wrong fabric, the wrong print, and polite emails explaining why that was somehow my fault. Minimum orders of 300, 500 or 1,000 pieces from factories that would not even take a meeting below those thresholds. Opaque pricing that turned every quote into a negotiation in the dark.
So I went to look for better. Three years. Twenty factories on three continents: Europe, Asia and Africa. Actual on-site visits, not video calls. Samples tested, washed, compared, washed again, sent back and ranked. Notes after every meeting. Questions sharper every time.
Three years of mistakes nobody wanted to teach me, because most of the industry was busy making the same ones, or pretending it had not.
Three years in, I stopped looking for the next factory. I sat down with what I had built without realising it.
A list of partners who actually delivered. Relationships built over dozens of orders, not one polite email. The judgement to know which print technique survives ten washes and which one fails after two. The instinct to spot an unreliable supplier from a single sentence in a first call.
None of it could be bought. It had to be earned. And it did not make sense to keep it to myself while the next generation of brand founders crashed into the same walls I had.
So I founded Octanbro, with one mission: to give ambitious creators and serious businesses what I wish I had on day one. A reliable shortcut. A direct path from idea to brand, without the three years of fog.
More than 30 clients have walked that shortcut so far. Each one of them, a new star added to the Octanbro constellation.
You could be the next.
"That difficult path is your shortcut. Dress your ambitions."
— Kevin Tucci, Founder of Octanbro
Inspired by the Octans constellation, the one that guides explorers when nothing else does, we believe every creator and every business deserves to see their own star shine. These four principles decide every project we take, every partner we keep and every line we draw.
We do not sell fabric. We build brands that mean something. Every project starts with the same conversation: who you are, who you want to dress and why any of it should matter. The product comes after the story, because a garment without a reason behind it is just cotton.
Every fabric is tested over multiple washes. Every prototype is validated before production starts. Every piece is checked, packed and approved before it leaves the workshop. The standard is the standard, whether you are ordering 50 hoodies for a first drop or 5,000 for a corporate rollout. Your customer does not know the difference, and they should not have to.
We do not look for clients. We look for creators we want to work with for years. The first collection rarely breaks through. The fifth might. We are built for that arc: same point of contact, same network, same standards, drop after drop. Your success is the only metric we measure ourselves by.
Custom apparel of this quality should not be reserved for fashion houses with eight-figure budgets. Most factories start at 300 pieces. We start at 50, with the same fabrics, the same techniques and the same finishing. Because tomorrow's reference brands are today's three friends with a logo, and we would rather meet them now than read about them later.
We handle fabric sourcing, prototyping, customisation, production management, quality control and international logistics, all coordinated through one partner, from the first brief to the final delivery.
